Dear Creator for Trick or Treat Exchange,

Thank you so much for considering creating for me and for taking the time to read this letter. This is mainly a list of things that I enjoy in fiction and in art, as well as some thoughts/prompts about the fandoms I've requested overall. Please know that these are just ideas! I've signed up to this exchange at the very last moment, and mostly because I've been drawn to the choices in the tagset -- if there's something that you offered or that I chose that deeply inspires you in ways that I could not predict in my list, all the better, please do it! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I usually ask for “no smut” but, in this case, I enjoy the thought of eros & horror together, especially where there’s urgency/haste in sex, loss of control, some messed up/twisted stuff going around (corpses nearby…), a certain discomfort (not devoid of pleasure though), dubcon too. I like short, sharp, suggestive scenes, or scenes where the focus is on what goes on in the mind of the characters rather than in detailed descriptions of the physical acts.

Art likes:

Golden Age of Illustration style (Aubrey Beardsley, George Barbier, Virginia Frances Sterrett, Kay Nielsen)
I love graphic design for posters, advertisements, labels etc. especially vintage ones (1870s-1960s) (but 1970s-1990s is also great especially if the fandom calls for it!)
Vintage botanical illustrations and vintage fashion plates
Cartography!
Black ink on paper
Highly saturated, contrasting colors (=> i.e. I love the red and fuchsia or the orange and fuchsia combos)
Alien landscapes (also literally, as in lunar landscapes, but in general, desert plains, eerie steppes, solitary landscapes at night, etc.)
Anime and manga styles, Chibis
I enjoy “on-model” drawings for anime and manga characters, but I appreciate personal styles as well
Surrealism
Pencil sketch illustrations (à la Quentin Blake or more realistic too)

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto I'm up to date with the official English translation (LN15) so I don't mind spoilers up to that point. I love the realistic view at the lives of concubines, so I'm all for stories about Gyokuyou, Lihua or Ah Duo and their relationship with the Emperor.

Maomao/Shisui I enjoy when Jinshi/Maomao is also in the picture and meaningful. Shisui solo stories also deeply interest me (but if you want to throw in Suirei, please do). Lihaku/Pairin, I'd love some spooky, fun thrill with that. (A mystery at the Verdigris House, and Maomao cannot be there to investigate? etc.)

Jinshi/Maomao has all my heart and I'd love both to see canon-divergence from the second part of season 2, the new normal post season 2, or remote imaginary "post-canon".

Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) It's one of my favorite things and also one of the most terrifying stories (if not the most terrifying) I ever watched/read/listened to (ah, yes, the soundtrack...). I'm up to all things related to the cosmic horror/temporal anomaly element, whether it's by understanding what happened or witnessing omens.

I see Sara/Miranda as unrequited on Sara's side.

Also, yes, I've read the unpublished chapter 18.

Shingeki no Kyojin I love Zeke as a character and I'd love to see him as he experiences the cosmic horror of PATHS or that of memories, his relationships to his family at all levels.

Spy x Family I'm also up to date with the manga so I don't mind spoilers! Fun Halloween stuff -- in the form of haunted houses and other canonverse things -- are all good here. (Unless you want to go a dark, dramatic route, maybe with Twiyor or Donovan Desmond, then do your thing!)

Tian Guan Ci Fu (Heaven Official's Blessing) Ling Wen (bureaucratic) horror please! Adventures of Yushi Huang in the mortal realm. In general for TGCF I'd love a Treat rather than a Trick, something fun, comedic, post-canon or suspended-somewhere-during-canon (see again the bureaucratic horror for Ling Wen), but do not hesitate if you have in mind something more dramatic (for He Xuan/Shi Qingxuan in particular). Ban Yue/Pei Su is very cute and I'd love to see more of them. Hualian always good. Grumpy Mu Qing also always good.

Original Work All the character-prompts sounded wonderful and I'd love to see what you come up with it! Definitely check out my likes above, the lists tell a lot of what I enjoy in stories and art.
