A bit late, but here I am, joining the
snowflake_challenge once again!
The prompt for Challenge #2 was:
In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
This year is going to be challenging in many ways, so for my fannish and crafty activities, other than a couple of things I'm already very committed to (and are ongoing), I'd rather talk about random things I'd like to do this year, with no priority set.
Finish publishing my Annie Leonhart longfic Little Bird. A journey started in 2022 (with writing) and continued in 2023 (beginning publication)... has to end. It has to be done. I'm so ready!
Finish to crochet the sweater I've been working on for the past month and a half. It is my first "big" project with crochet and my first garment with crochet -- it's coming along nicely and... I'd like to wear it while it's winter!
For all other fun things... stick to short-term projects. (Under 3 months of work; preferably 1.) (See first point to understand why)
And as for more things I'd love to do, but with no strings attached and no expectations, in no order:
- Write a story for a fan exchange! (Tentatively doing it now with
candyheartsex but let's keep fingers crossed) - Participate to a fest or another fan event with prompts or write/craft a thing for a prompt challenge in a fandom community.
- Write for a fandom that is not Attack on Titan.
Finish one WiP -- the more it's haunting my head, the better
Get to join a table to play a TRPG (single session or with a set short run)
Experience some different types of media, especially interactive fiction!
Make something beautiful with embroidery
And that's it for now!

Date: 2024-01-05 10:26 pm (UTC)You don't know how happy it makes me to know that someone is experiencing canon or planning to, for the first time or as a returning watcher/reader :) So, thank you so much for telling me! And of course, when it will happen, I'd be happy to know you're reading my fic <3

Date: 2024-01-05 10:29 pm (UTC)Thank you so much and thank you for all the work for the Snowflake Challenge! What a grand enterprise, it's the second year and yet it still amazes me. And yes,
candyheartsex sounds lovely and I'll also be refining my offers (and maybe adding requests?) in the weekend, now that more have signed up!

Date: 2024-01-05 10:34 pm (UTC)Thank you for your good luck wishes! I was pretty unconvinced by crochet at first (although it's the first craft I learned when I was little -- and then completely forgot), but lately I've been finding that it relaxes me a lot and it's great to do it while I listen to an audiobook or even read a book with a voice synthesizer. Embroidery I still favor, though. Looking forward to your adventures in needlecrafts (and please feel free to ask for resources if needed, depending on the craft ofc).
